Prodromal or preheadache phenomena are rarely of diagnostic significance. (One marked exception is mi graine in which typical prodroma consist of visual disturbances, paresthesias of the face and hands, vertigo and mood disorders.)

Polyuria may accompany headaches of tension states, migraine and third ventricle tumors. Ele vation of the body temperature may be observed with headaches due to infections, migraine, brain tumor and subarachnoid hemorrhage. Leucocytosis and leucopenia have no differential diagnostic value.
