With the new credit card reform legislation now passed by Congress will be more difficult for college students to get student credit cards. There is a provision in the new laws in states that anyone under the age of 20 one must show proof that they have the ability to repay credit card debt or an absence of that, have a cosigner in order to qualify for a credit card.
